The SK Ang name traces its construction roots to 1964, when the late Mr Ang Shew Kee founded S K Ang Construction Company during Singapore's formative development years. Today, SK Ang Construction & Renovation Pte. Ltd. carries that family construction history into a new generation of projects.
THE BEGINNING — 1964
A name built during Singapore's early development years.
In 1964, the late Mr Ang Shew Kee founded S K Ang Construction Company.
The company became involved in public infrastructure works including bus stops, roads and related structures for Singapore's then Public Works Department (PWD). Through this work, Mr Ang became known within the industry as the “Bus Stop King”, reflecting the company's extensive involvement in bus-stop construction during that period.
The work was practical, site-driven and closely connected to Singapore's developing built environment. The company subsequently broadened its experience beyond its earlier infrastructure works into general construction and civil engineering.
That early chapter established the family construction name that today's SK Ang continues to carry forward.
THE SECOND GENERATION
From public infrastructure to broader construction work.
By the late 1970s, Mr Ang Shew Kee's sons Ang Seh Peng and Ang Say Hoe had joined the family business.
Their involvement marked the second generation of the family construction story, with the company expanding its experience across general construction and civil engineering.
The original S K Ang Construction Company continued operating until 1990, closing an important chapter after decades of work.

S K Ang Construction Company is founded.
The late Mr Ang Shew Kee begins the family construction business during a period of rapid development in Singapore.
Public infrastructure becomes part of the SK Ang story.
The company undertakes works including bus stops, roads and related public infrastructure. Mr Ang becomes known as the “Bus Stop King”.
The second generation joins.
Ang Seh Peng and Ang Say Hoe join the family business, broadening its experience across general construction and civil engineering.
The original company closes its operating chapter.
S K Ang Construction Company ceases operations after decades in Singapore's construction sector.
The SK Ang name enters a new chapter.
Mr Ang Shew Kee's grandson, Alvin Ang, establishes SK Ang Construction & Renovation Pte. Ltd., carrying the family construction name into a new generation.
Heritage with modern project discipline.
SK Ang now supports residential, commercial and industrial projects through demolition, reinstatement, renovation, M&E, wet works, maintenance, tender pricing and coordinated multi-trade delivery.
A NEW CHAPTER — 2023
Built for today's project environment.
More than three decades after the original company ceased operations, the SK Ang construction name returned through a new company built for today's construction environment.
The current company does not simply recreate the past. It applies the family's practical construction background to the requirements of modern projects: documentation, safety, tendering, BQ and SOR pricing, regulated trades, professional coordination and multi-disciplinary delivery.
SK Ang Construction & Renovation Pte. Ltd. works with homeowners, businesses, interior designers, main contractors and property stakeholders across a range of project types.
Current credentials include BCA CR03 Demolition and bizSAFE Level 3.
